It's waaayyyy past my bedtime. 11:03 PM and seem a bit wired but I MUST wake up early tomorrow morning for cardio. I recently told you all about my new beginnings. I made it through week one yay. But this week has been a week of trying everything new. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and doing things that make me well. UNCOMFORTABLE and it's scary.
I've talked about comfort zones before, but I am now looking at every opportunity with fresh eyes. One lesson that I have learned and taken as my new outlook is "Life is to short to do something that makes you unhappy".
I'm the happiest when I am training, when I am pushing my body doing something completely out of its "element". The same goes go my mental, spiritual and emotional states. It's time to do things that make me happy and weed out the things that make me unhappy. And though some new beginnings and situations can push and test you, they can be the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself.
What I am wearing:
Skirt: BCBG
Top: F21 (Dubai 2006)
Shoes: DKNYC
Pearls: Simons (Montreal Chain store)
What are you going to do to make you happy? if there is something that makes you unhappy, what are you going to do to change it?
gorgeous look !

I can totally relate to what you said. I am happiest when i am exercising and when i feel 'fit'. My mental state reflects the same thing too!
ReplyDeleteI think i need a few 'new beginnings' in my life too! :) Nice post and you are looking lovely as always!

I totally agree with your philosophy... life is definitely too short to spend it doing things that make you unhappy. I'm also all for stepping outside your comfort zone. It can be scary but it's the best way to grow and it opens you up to all sorts of new and exciting opportunities.
ReplyDeleteLifting weights, dancing, writing and spending time with my husband make me most happy. The only thing that makes me unhappy is my job, but I'm working on it!
ReplyDeleteI too like to challenge my body with new things but not so much emotionally.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the new challenges on your road.
love your smile :D

ReplyDeleteI liked a lot your post and all you said about new beginnings... It is true, they may be difficult, but in the end, they can prove extremely rewarding:)
I moved to another country to become more happy - not that I wasn't happy in my country:) It is about "new beginnings"...:)
Following you now on Bloglovin and Google, I would love it if you followed me back!

Happiness can be of the simpliest of things, but it should certainly be something that we love to do. It doesn't necessarily mean that just because you need to do things, you also need to be happy. Motto should be, Happy because I'm doing what I do.
