Hello all!
On top of it, the gym was located outdoors. And I almost passed out from the thick humid air and heat. I did manage to get one run on the beach in. I huffed and puffed and every few minutes alternated between pushups and sit-ups. I definitely feel soft. Ready to get back to eating clean and in some sort of normal eating habits. That's the one thing i hate about traveling, the comforts of home I.e. My food, hair products and all the others all things are unavailable to me.
I do have to say I was pretty awful at taking pictures. It was too hot! And I felt lazy. But I do have some that I will share for sure!
Does walking for hours on end count as a bit of exercise? :) what do you do to get in a work out when on the road?
I've missed you all and when it was possible I tried to sneak on the internet when wifi was available. I am so happy to be back, i feel like I've missed many things in the world of blogging and my new friends. As Miami comes to a close, I am excited for some new opportunities that will be coming my way.
I don't want to say anything just yet but I have some interesting opportunities presenting themselves to me. I am really looking forward to pursuing them. Something that is completely out of my element. I also am not sure if I am allowed to say anything just Yet but I am so thrilled!
Miami was a much needed vaycay from everything. While away, I did try to go to the gym. But this is what I had to work with....

What a sad, sad gym!! Girl, I feel like we were supposed to go for a little BRUNCH this past weekend?!?! I know you were flying all over the place so I didn't wanna disrupt you and your travels. I hope your vaycay was amazing and let's please still try to make a date whenever you're free and in the area!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about this opportunity!!
yay! so glad you're back! Yes! Walking counts! Cant wait to see your pics girl!

The walking depends on how intense it is. Walking at a very slow pace, especially for someone of your fitness level, does not count for exercise. But for someone who is obese and just started training, yes then it counts.
ReplyDeleteIf I am on the road, I usually go for a run whenever I have the chance. If it is too humid, I use my own body weight along with ankle weights, to do some weight training.
hehe so happy you're back! :) can't wait to see the pictures! and that gym does look pitiful...
ReplyDeleteI think it's safe to say that you can count walking for hours as exercise! When I'm stuck at Loft with no time to get to the gym my second time, I count it as partial cardio because I am on my feet and moving around more so than if I had a desk job. Glad to have you back and to hear that you enjoyed Miami (with what pitiful gym it had)!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear more about your trip!
ReplyDeletehahaha- i love hotel gyms like this. so pathetic i'm not sure why they bother! when i'm on the road it's planks, push ups, and squats in the hotel room!

hahahahah - love the rust, its really motivating! Good for you though, for getting to the gym on vaca! I can't wait to hear about you special news! Super exciting :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest...the one thing I cannot stand about vacations is not being able to workout. I always end up coming back home feeling icky and out of shape. It's amazing how good a workout can make you feel.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, my love! :)
Good luck with your new ventures and welcome back. Glad you had a great time in Miami!
