Lace, Lilac and Ladders

It's mid week and already I feel I have done more than I normally do in 7 days. One of my biggest accomplishments was writing. Yes I write here on this blog and post. But I went back to my roots. Journaling with a pen and paper. AND. I wrote a letter. This letter was a goodbye of sorts. To someone who made an impact in my life and I have to say, it took me a VERY long time to let go. It was as if I had physically, emotionally and mentally turned a new leaf.

And then the greatest thing happened. The next after writing this letter, I woke up (on the right side of the bed ;p), and everything was as it was supposed to be. Calm. Centred. Right.

And so of course the day goes wonderfully as well. I work in an area that is absolutely wonderful places to take photos. Kat and I have been experimenting with different backdrops and we've been running into some excellent photo op locations. Its as if it was MEANT to be! I felt the ladder was so symbolic of where I am and where I am going. On to bigger things, and climbing to new heights.












What I am wearing:
Skirt: Dynamite borrowed from the bestest Sister ever….A.K.A. my only sister :P)
Lace Tank: Banana Republic
Sweater: Old Navy (thank you Groupon Coupons for giving 20 dollars worth of clothing for 10 oh yes!)
Shoes: DKNYC
Lips: MAC Up the Amp, and Angel mixed.
Pearl Necklace: gifted

    I'm so happy for you! I'm amazed by how cathartic writing can be, and sometimes the letter doesn't even need to get sent, just writing it can help me sort through stuff in life. The ladder symbolism is awesome too, I hadn't considered that. You didn't mention we were quasi-trespassing, lol!

    I love how symbolic this is!!!  It's always important to take care of loose ends and to find the closure within yourself.  That's the only way you find peace and happiness. :) I love the girliness of your top, and the pearls are just lovely with it!

    Closure is such an important thing, and it's good to allow yourself to have it even if you don't get the ideal face-to-face closure that you might want. Good for you for moving on to bigger and better things. And what a beautiful outfit you chose for your sttart! I love the lavender lace top and gray skirt combination, the colours are just made for each other!
