TGIF friends.
The weekend is finally here! This week has been extremely hectic for me. Not only has there been a lot going on work wise, one of my Best Friends has moved away from the city : ( It's truly the end of an era, though I am so happy for her and her new adventures.
With all that in mind, and my big epiphany, I felt more grounded and calm knowing that I was going to be setting new goals for myself. As of Today I have gone back to strict clean eating…no more cheating (i.e. no more chocolate, no more cereal by the bowlfuls and no more over eating like I've never seen cherries before…) yes people I am going back to clean eating, upping the protein and removing the things that are making me feel like garbage…
This weekend is going to be all about trying new recipes and making mistakes in the kitchen…
Stay tuned for thedisasters miracles amazing new eats.

ReplyDeleteThat dress is beautiful! I love love it! I like when brunettes wear pink. So I dont know exactly what you can eat, but the other day I made some really good baked coconut chicken tenders. I dipped them in egg whites and then rolled them in a mixture of shredded coconut, panko crumbs, and corn flakes. Then you bake it. We ate it with salad. I got it from this blog that I love http://www.skinnytaste.com/ Its la bomba.

That’s what you call life, nothing last forever that’s why we have to “take a moment to appreciate the moment” take a step back and be grateful for what we have.
ReplyDeleteYou lose one friend today, I’m sure you’ll meet someone tomorrow who will attempt to fill that void.
Thank God to technology she’ll be just one Skype session away.
« upping the protein and removing the things that are making me feel like garbage… »
But that’s what summer is all about, eating bad food and burning them to eat some more lol.
But I hear you, fun time is over now it’s time to get back on the horse, get back to the basics and the focus of pushing your body to the max.
I moved out of my home town 18 months ago, and I just went back for a visit this past weekend. You come to learn who your true friends are very quickly, and the ones that you do keep in contact with will be friends for life! I know it will be hard to be away from your friend, but hopefully you will always be there for each other.
ReplyDeleteYay for getting back on the clean eating bandwagon!
You're absolutely right. You definitely learn who your "friends for life are" and can I just say eating clean day one is already going famously….though I will have a hard time giving up my wine…
ReplyDeleteYou're right! I've been eating "clean" for the most part but chocolate and wine are my vices…I'm going to have to retire them for a bit until I get back into a routine. I’ll have some news in the coming weeks about how I am taking back my nutrition : )
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly I have only been eating "regularly" for the last 4 weeks or so and I have to say, my body doesn’t like it…time to change up the carbs.
And friends like her can't be replaced…but thank goodness for technology and Skype…now I just have to figure out how to use it :)
You're so right. I have to say I have made many friends and in far away places (like you!) You learn how to take the good with the bad, make new friends and even use technology to help you stay on track. Thank you for the compliment! It’s the first pale pink dress I own and I have to say I like it too! (especially for the price: ) )
ReplyDeleteOk I am making these sometime this week! Thank you for the website going to add it to my blogroll. What would I do with out you girl?
ReplyDeletegreat minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteI totally need a white blazer!
ReplyDeleteLoving your style! The 5th pic down is my absolute favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you : )
ReplyDeleteIts actually one of my favourites too!
I wear it in the winter too....I know the rule is not to wear white after labour day but of well lol
ReplyDeleteAh, I'm terrible at keeping up with blogs these past couple of weeks. But I LOVE that dress! I'm a huge fan of lace--and luckily it's SO in this season! Stay stylish :)
ReplyDeleteoooh looking forward to all the fun recipes! <3 and you look phenomenal as alwayssss.. LOVE LOVE that colour and the dress/blazer combo and your necklace... sigh i wish i had your wardrobe.. XOXO
