I
love summer. I say this all the time but really, heat makes me happy. I love
the warmth of the sun on my shoulders, and love being outdoors on a hot summer’s
evening and best of all, I love not needing to carry a jacket.
On
this particular summer’s evening, I went to a Summerlicious restaurant in Toronto
called Nyood. Summerlicious is one the greatest ideas ever for those who want
to indulge in a culinary experience without the price tag. For a few weeks out
of the summer, many well-known restaurants usually feature a sample tasting
menu that’s reasonable on the wallet.
Heading
to a trendy downtown restaurant, I opted for a floral patterned skirt, with the
simplicity of black accents. And in case you’re curious, the food was sublime.

Is that skirt recent!? I want one just like it to wear to work!
ReplyDeleteIt fits you so well, and really is a very figure-flattering silhouette. Pairing it w/ a black tee and that simplistic yet beautiful necklace is the perfect way to style it for a nice evening out.
You look so happy and SO pretty, I just love it! The pic in the chair is so elegant, and you honestly look like a princess!

This skirt was purchased earlier this summer, but I was in H and M this past weekend and I still saw it there : )
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteDanielle do you have a blog too? would love to check it out!
This skirt is sublime and you styled it beautifully. It fits you like a dream and the print is perfect because you can dress it up or or down. I'm already missing my summer maxi dresses but I'm hoping to transition a few of them into fall.
ReplyDeleteI just adore the personal way you do glam!!! This and the previous outfit, wow!
ReplyDeleteMy best summer moment was a day spent with my mom and sis back in my homeland Finland!
I'm a summer gal, too. Not a real fan of long Canadian winters, but hopefully I'll get used to them. Lats winter, my first here felt sooooo long.
So lovely that you keep popping in on my little blog:)

This skirt is so gorgeous and fits you like a glove! Good idea letting the rest of the outfit act as a canvas against which the skirt can shine. I like the sophisticated gathering and pairing of peppy bright yellow with more sombre greys and blacks
ReplyDeleteGreat skirt!
