Influenster - Maple VoxBox

There's honestly nothing like getting a package in the mail that's not a bill or junk mail. I recently received a box of samples from Influenster, called the Maple VoxBox. Finally! we have a few different companies providing samples of products that are available in Canada!

My Maple VoxBox came with snacks from Skinny Cow, Mints from Ice Breakers, NYC Lip Gloss, NYC Mascara, Kiss press-on nails in funky neon colour, and a Glacial Clay Mask. Pretty much all one needs stashed in their purse (ok minus the clay mask ;)).

 There are a couple of reasons why I am impressed with this goody-box. First and foremost, there are snacks! I am constantly looking for something to sink my teeth - I mean we all get the munchies from time to time right? 

The post- snack mints are also a must : ) Once I have had a chance to try out the mascara, the press on nails and the lip gloss I'll let you all know, but so far I'm liking the products. In fact the Skinny Cow Crisp Milk Chocolate is not going to make it any further.

Emerald Green & Brick Roads

Its Mid-November in Ottawa and the weather has been unseasonably warm. We should have had a snowfall by now, but its warm enough that a leather jacket and scarf is all one needs really to stay warm. Not that I am complaining or anything, I do better when its warm. I just doesn’t feel like we are in “Ottawa” anymore Toto.

Shopping & Champagne with H&M Ottawa

Brace yourself Ottawa, it's finally here, albeit fashionable late, H&M is now available in the National Capital!

On Tuesday, October 15, 2013 I had the amazing opportunity to get a sneak peak at the new H&M and Bayshore Shopping Centre, while being given the opportunity to shop and sip on champagne. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday evening.

With some great tunes to keep us going, Many of Ottawa’s fashion bloggers and media were there at the first unveiling.

H&M officially opens its doors this afternoon, and I am already itching to go back to see what other goodies are available! A post on what I scored will be up soon.

Fall Favourites: The Classic Trench Coat

The best the thing about fall are those crisp days, just a few degrees shy of when you know you’ll be seeing your breath in the air, the clear blue skies, and the earth scattered with colours of yellow, red and orange leaves crunching between each step.

October in O-Town has been stunning. It’s a bittersweet reminder of what’s coming (ugh cold, ugh snow). But on a day when the sun is shining and the weather is sweet, it’s the furthest thing from my mind. Im just relishing in my fall favourites.

Change is Coming to the Rideau Centre

Change is (finally) coming to Ottawa’s Rideau Centre. For someone who has grown up in Toronto, one of the hardest things about moving to Ottawa was that it really was not a fashion destination. The Rideau Centre at that time didn’t have stores like Zara, Forever 21, H&M etc.

Last night select few of us were given a glimpse of what Rideau Centre will be transformed into. It includes stores such as J Crew, Victoria’s Secret Nordstrom and one other secret retailer which will be announced today (Im crossing my fingers it will be H&M).
